(A) Setup for DAQ & Suspension Tests
For this setup you first have to prepare the VTF crates as shown for option A: http://wwwcascina.virgo.infn.it/sDoc/VirgoSubSys/VirgoVTF.htm
Procedure
- Turn on the crates.
- Start the time server on rio58a (you can use the Cl-client "VTF DAQ Chain" for that).
- Start the Supervisor server and client (from the mouse-menu).
- Check file /virgoData/Sa/Damping/LocalTime?.dat: the line "rio0a" should be commented out to configure external timing signals.
- Check file /virgoData/Sa/Damping/setup.dat: at the entry "test0a" there should be a line "adc 0" to define that the ADC does not generate the timing signal (note: use "adc 1" if you want to use the timing signals from the ADC).
- At the Supervisor client start the Galaxy server at rio0b and then the EDSP server at rio0a.
- Download the DSP code by using "damping test0a test", then load and compile "/virgoDev/Sa/DSPCode/dampVTF/<version>/src/dampVTF", finally perform the download.
- Start the Fast- (Fbf) and Slow- (Fbs) and Main- (Fbm) Frame Builders from the Cl-client.
- Start the FbmVTFDy for dataDisplay access, then test if you are receiving some test data at the DAQ
