Boards

ADC Board

In order to set the ADC generating or not the clock those are the settings:

1) Change the board firmware settings:
log into the corresponding RIO and run the command:
/virgoDev/Sa/ServerDamping/v0r2/RIO806X/adcsetup.exe ADC Address
The Address is obtainable from Damping client with "m" (obviusly you need to run before EServerDSP on the RIO) that then show:
........
type 03  serial 72
vme 90004800  vbex 40  slot 5
......
You have to know the serial number of the ADC (in this case #72) and then you issue
rio58A[~]: /virgoDev/Sa/ServerDamping/v0r2/RIO806X/adcsetup.exe 0x90004800

and change only the setting:
"enable sampling frequency generator" to yes/no
n.b. you cannot see the new value it always says yes. Check with oscilloscope for signal.

2) Set correspondingly inside:
/virgoData/Sa/Damping/setup.dat
put
ADC 0 "non producing clock, timing board present"
ADC 1 "producing clock, timing board NOT present"

DAC Board

For the timing remember to set the alone jumper on the lower left of the board when the board is the last one on the
timing distibution chain
