  •  Virgo DQ and Noise Monitors status (Didier):
Didier gave a detailed presentation of the status of the On-line/In-time monitors, how they are organized, the chain followed and to be followed.
Some monitors already have been developed for VSR1 and are in a good shape to be re-used for VSR2. New monitors needs to be developed for online DQ and noise monitoring. Environment to test them is ready.
It is crucial to push developers to produce good documentation for their tool. This is true also for the script that are used to produce plots either by reading frames, ascii files or connecting to DB.
We decided to define some standard format for results in ASCII files and some standard tools to produce graphical results and web pages.
(python-matplotlib or root-vega based, or whatever).
LIGO people use fundamentally DMT as tool for DetChar and dmtviewer screen captures as FOM web pages.
What we have to investigate is the possibility to have homogenous web pages between LIGO and Virgo, even using different tools to produce results.
  • New Lines Monitor tool (Sabrina D'antonio)
Sabrina presented the tools used by Pulsar group to identify peaks in the high resolution spectra they produce for their pulsar search.
They first of all clean the data by high-frequency transients, than perform and estimate of the average value of noise psd.

The frequency lines search starts with the ratio R of the spectrum to its AR estimation.
All the data which cross a given threshold are local maxima (lines frequency).

She showed some plot reporting the behaviour during VSR1 of some lines (drum modes for examples) and the correlation with some temperatures probes. It seems a very interesting tool to monitor lines non stationarity. We have already a tool to perform spectrogram, but with a low frequency resolution. Sabrina's tool could be used to have high resolution spectrogram. There is no need to run it on-line, but can be used reading raw.ffl files. It already uses the FD library , and this could help to monitor, with Cl,  the status of process.
We can use the plots produced by this tool to have a snapshot of lines each hour, or each long lock.
We have to define which plots report in our monitoring web pages.
  • First commissioning Data
Gabriele reported on the first data taking by ITF. The data are not still calibrated. some problems and source of noise (phase, power noise and control noise) have been understood and they started working on them to better the sensitivity. This will be done hopefully as soon as TCS will be in operation.
  • Noise Data Base
A new machine is being setup by EGO computing team with a mysql tools. Gary will start to think on a possible organization of a Noise Data Base and will prepare e proposal for us. We need to give him hints and input on which what we would like to fill the DataBase.

In principle we will need fast access to fill the DB with triggers produced on fly by ETG (HACR and WDF could be ready for that testing), and a part for a big latency algorithms (lines or whaterver else). We will need a graphical interface to query the DA and perform simple operations (plots, correlation, coincidence)

After meeting, Elena and Gary discussed a bit on the possibility to have common format and css style for the web pages we will produce either for DB access or for monitoring. He will produce in these two days templates to be proposed to the group in such a way to start the process of making homogenous the web pages (at least for noise monitors and maybe for on-line monitors).
