Comments to the circulated Docs about preliminary design of central hall infrastructures
1) 'Remote scroll room' position: in original drawing this room is
chosen on the first floor in the old 'electrical lab'.
This existing room is sufficiently close to the towers and there we
have tested the envisaged solution by running a scroll pump
and looking at the envinronmental sensors (acoustic and seism of det
lab ones in particular, Irene is in cc. we shall report about this
test).
That room seems ok to us. Anyway we are also in favour of building
another dedicated room outside, more or less where indicated by
Loic,
for instance.
2) DET vacuum rack position: normal to install it out from the clean
room.
The rack and its exact place is still to be discussed in Vac (Fabien
in cc. we shall need a solution to operate the minitower equipment
by a person in the clean room, with a sort of 'clean' portable
console?)
3) The accessibility of the pumps, flanges, vac equipment of DET
tower (not the minitower but the present tower) could be limited by
the 'new roof ' of DET lab.
This issue is still to be discussed, at first with Andrea
4) It is needed to keep a passage vs the NI area at floor level. In
some proposals the DET lab occupy all the space and close completely
this passage.
Personnel need to reach that area during the construction phase and
also during the operation phases, for instance during the
maintenance breaks. The passage should allow at least 1 people and 1
chariot (apart from safety considerations to be looked for, I don't
know about).
The alternative of passing always from the platform and always using
the bridge crane to bring parts is not practical and also very
'noisy'.
Andrea hvae prepared some proposals about this.
This assuming to avoid this kind of transit across the det clean
room
5) DC distribution
For vacuum racks it is envisaged to displace the DC power supplies
to limit the EM noise level (tests done with Irene).
This installation need to be discussed also together other SS, maybe
concerned by the same issue, and perhaps individuate a suitable
position
