The Basic Layout

The basic layout of the Advanced Virgo interferometer is that of a dual recycled Michelson interferometer with Fabry-Perot arm cavities.  The recycling cavities are folded, non-degenerate cavities.  A cartoon of the layout is here: .

Detailed Layout

The detailed optical layout, with precise positioning and beam parameter determination, will be done in Optocad and eventually Zeemax.
